Internet Marketing Tips - The Evil That Marketers Do, Dont You

You know, lots of folks talk about all the things that you should do as an Internet marketer to improve your business. And for the most part, we pretty much know what these things are. Things like build your list, create good content, utilize various means of promotion and so on. Yet, so few people talk about the things that you shouldn’t do. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because we want to pretend that these things don’t exist. Well, pretending they don’t exist won’t make them go away. Worse than that, doing them yourself can literally destroy your business. In this article, I am going to cover the three things that you should never do under any circumstance unless you want to end up killing any chances you have for success.

The first thing, and at the top of my list, is spamming. I don’t know any other way to say this other than if you spam and get caught, you WILL go to jail. Today, they are finally cracking down on spammers. If you don’t believe me, read some of the articles of late on spammers who have been sent to jail. It is not a pretty picture. If you spam, which is sending unsolicited email, you are committing a criminal act and WILL be dealt with accordingly if caught. This is the best way to destroy your business.

The second thing is customer service, or should I say lack of it. Want to really kill your business? Don’t respond to one of your customers asking for help with a product they purchased from you. Or don’t acknowledge a refund request. Eventually, word is going to get around that your customer service stinks and people are not going to want to do business with you. I pride myself on my customer service. Heck, I go out of my way to help people and a lot of marketers say I’m crazy for doing some of the things that I do. That’s okay because my customers love me.

Finally, there is communication. I can’t stress this enough. If you write emails, ads, sales copy or whatever, that sounds like you came off the streets, you are not going to get customers. You have to communicate professionally. You may not like it, but that’s the way it is. If you don’t know how to write, learn. Do whatever you have to do in order to present a professional appearance to your prospects and customers. If you don’t, trust me on this, you won’t have a business.

There you have it. Three things that you shouldn’t do. If you can just follow these three tips, you’ll be surprised at how much more of a chance you’ll have at running a successful business.

Sometimes it’s not what you do, but what you don’t do.

To YOUR Success,
