How To Sell Something On Ebay

For better or worse, eBay has become a lot more competitive through the years. People didn’t really have to know how to sell something on eBay. It used to be you could put some generic title on the listing, like “baseball card” and still get a ton of bids. There was even a time when you didn’t even need photos on your listings to attract bids. Well, that was in the past.

If you want to sell something on eBay, you have to understand that you are competing with a lot more sellers than there used to be. Your listing really needs to stick out.

For one thing, try mixing your words from lower case to upper case. For instance, try writing “Vintage Topps MICKEY MANTLE ROOKIE Baseball Card”. Many people just use ALL CAPS when writing their title. It’s just like white noise. Actually it looks more like spam, and we all know how we ignore spam.

Another thing to do is use all the space that is provided in the title. Use every possible character that they allow. Don’t be afraid to add words. For instance with the Mickey Mantle card, you can add words like “rare”, “collector’s item” “one of a kind”, well……..you get the idea.

These are just some tips to teach you how to sell something on eBay. There are literally hundreds of tips that can give you an advantage over other sellers. The problem is most don’t bother to learn them. But if you actually take the time to learn them, there is a potential gold mine to be made on eBay.
